1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am a support worker supporting adults with learning disabilities. I currently work in a 3 bedroom respite unit. We provide a home from home holiday for all the services users that we support, enabling them to have freedom of choice and have a great time while they stay with us..

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, I have learnt a lot of skills and a lot of new ways of supporting people to ensure that they get person centred care.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The program was thoroughly enjoyable, and I had a great tutor to help me along the way

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

The program was well structured and thought out, and we did it in sections so that the workload was not too much

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a 100% support from my employer. My manager is also very supportive and has taught me a lot along the way

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider was very supportive and very helpful, always on the end of the phone if needed

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel that I perform a lot better in my role after completing my course due to the fact that I have learnt different learning styles, different ways to support staff and help staff in their learning. I find myself very good at coaching.
