  • I was part of an audit team, just helping along at the start. My main type of work was like helping with any admin tasks. As placement progressed, i gained my teams trust and was given more work and responsibility like testing of expenses and other more intensive work.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, I would have to say my understanding of Microsoft Excel has excelled a lot. At first, I would say I was below average, After the help of my seniors, I have improved quite a lot. Secondly, other skills like communication, professional manners all get polished after you work in a prestigious firm.

  • I enjoy quite a bit, The mix of both university and work life is a different experience. You feel like your living two different lives and are always on the move. For me, I'm happy to say has had a positive impact.

  • The employer helps a lot. We get paid a salary and for some who move to a new city for placement are provided free accomodation. Other benefits like discounts, dinners and socials play a big role in haing a positive working environment

  • 9b. Why?
  • PwC is one of the big 4 accountancy firms. I would recommend it to anyone as the quality of work is unmatched. If anyone gets the opportunity to work in any big firm.
