  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I support children who have special educational needs and make their learning easier, I help guide them and motivate them into learning. I build relationships and keep children safe in an environment that allows them to have a second home in the school I work in. I really love it!

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoyed the programme because it taught me everything I needed to know in order to become a successful teaching assistant. • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It’s very organised if you keep up to date with the tutors, there were a few instances where communication wasn’t always the best but if you were able to email/text back and forth with the tutor then it was easy to understand what needed to be done.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I received a lot of support from my employer as they understood when I needed to take a call from my tutor and when I needed to submit assignments. They were very forthcoming with information I needed and was able to support when workloads became too much. I appreciated it.

  • I received a lot of support when working towards my level 3. I was given information I needed, hands on experience to understand what my day to day role would be like and how to deliver myself to support students in my work place environment. This has helped me wonderfully.
