  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is variable; you need a can-do attitude and the ability to delegate and demonstrate clear communication. I am involved in the different areas of the medical director's portfolio, and I have my workstreams; for RTT, I assisted in developing the current harm review process and line manager to a band 4 administrator. In addition, I am the corporate lead in the Medical Examiner and Bereavement transfer of managerial arrangements and interim line manager of the three band 5 medical examiner. I also work with the finance director to administrate the medical assurance group ensuring good oversight of medical and non-medical spending within the care group. My organisational skills play a massive part in my current role, and being on the apprenticeship course has helped me gain skills in leadership, finance and project management and enabled me to develop a better understanding of my self-awareness.
