  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My daily responsibilities at the company are  mostly consisted of managing calls for front-line customer service directed to the company's mobile department. But recently, I've advanced to the position of "Lead," where I've assisted my team leader in bringing on board and onboarding a group of new recruit employees into the company.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I feel like I have definitely learned to develop my current skills as part of this apprenticeship programme, and I have gained a lot of new skills during my time at the company. All of these skills have been helpful in the role I currently have, and they will undoubtedly be helpful to me in the team leader position I am aiming for in the future.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really like the programme I am in as a member of the Aspire programme inside the company and the realise apprenticeship. I am appreciative of the time invested in my own personal learning to help me grow as a person because I can see how much work and attention goes into developing and launching these programmes.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • In my opinion, it is currently rather well organised. Things initially looked a little less organised for instance , I never received invites to meetings or sessions and mostly, operations had been scheduled during my days off, but that tends to have all been worked out now, and things run more smoothly and structured now.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer provides me with all the assistance I require  to learn more. There is always someone I can go to whom will try their best to support me if I ask for assistance whenever I need  or guidance, whether that be from my team leader or operations manager. They will always make sure that I have time to advance my learning.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Both my company and the training provider offer me excellent support. I believe I always receive the resources I require, and we always make sure to check in with each other once a month to see how my progress is going and what I still need to do to advance.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I believe that the sessions I have been to as a part of this curriculum have inspired me to work harder and have greatly aided me in many of my day-to-day responsibilities by exposing me to new abilities and ways of thinking that I may have been blind to before I began this programme.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We are given a particular period of volunteer time each year that we can use to serve our neighbourhood in a variety of ways. Individuals or groups can work together to complete this as a team. Most recently, our team went to assist a nearby charity shop warehouse with stock management for the day.

  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Because I firmly feel that the corporate culture at the organisation is such a positive one and they genuinely care about the welfare of their employees, I would suggest it to anyone searching for a new job. I am proud to be a part of them every day as they work to become one of the greatest businesses in our sector.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to AdviserPlus Business Solutions Limited?
  • The organisation encourages people to just be themselves, and as part of our personal culture, it provides an environment where people can thrive and enjoy going to work each day. One piece of advice I would give to someone applying for a position at the company is to just let their own personality come through.
