    9/10

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have enjoyed the learning, but struggled to find the time to join classes, then catching up became harder as I had not had the interactions with the group.

    7/10

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Programme itself was well structured, and changes were made to help me combat my dislike of spreadsheets!

    9/10

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • First mentor left the company after 4 months, no formal meetings with a replacement until I asked to withdraw from the course. There is very much a requirement to do the work at home-no provision for extra hours within store, had to supply my own laptop. RM’s variable.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • More than my employers. Determined to get me through to the end, even tho it was a struggle. Aaron accepted my limitations and worked to support me with computer training etc. Also sympathetic with the issues regarding time and mentor.

    8/10

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Individuality is welcomed within the company, and hard work with a ‘can do” attitude is rewarded. No two days are the same, and there is a real family/team camaraderie within store.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Travis Perkins Plc?
  • Go in with the right attitude, and you will be appreciated. If the team work together, it’s a lot easier to manage the store.
