  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a sales manager and my role is to organise and facilitate sales campaigns, prepare and delegate work. I am also responsible for keeping records of sales and evaluating performance of the sales people. On a day-to-day basis I take care of my team and oversee the entire process.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt team leadership and management of human resource. In great ways I have been able to organise and plan work to be done and offer problem solving ideas to the company. I have learnt to work under pressure and get the job done. I have also learnt how to multitask and save time.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • To be able to lead and be a central pert in the operations of the sales department is an experience that has taught me a lot and has proven to be a stepping stone towards growing my career. I love that I am able to contribute to the success of the sales department.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The structure of the programme is diverse as it covers most of not all the aspect that accompany sales management. With modules on customer relations, financial literacy, team leadership and management I have full confidence that this structure is a basis and foundation for sales. Basic training on book keeping are also part of the vital structure.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The employer has been very supportive towards helping to smoothly run the activities of the department. They have brought in adequate and qualified personnel who together we work as a unit. The employer also organises training opportunities that help us to learn new tricks that are an advantage to the team over other sales people belonging to other organisations.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The trainers who provide the programme have been helpful with the support they provide. Through the company they encourage us to venture deeply into our work and specialisation. They sponsor us to attend seminars and conferences that are eye openers to us. The training provider is also a resource because they are ever available and easy to reach.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • With a strong foundation in sales and marketing, leadership and book keeping skills I am able to perform efficiently in this role. I have been able to lead team activities and drive to success sale campaigns that bring profit to the company. I have full faith that I am a perfect fit for this role.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We have activities that primarily are aimed at bringing us together and learn from each other. We have conferences, yearly seminars and regular exchange programs with different institutions . We also participate in community activities that are aimed at giving back to the community that are the ones who keeps us in business.

  • To someone who is applying at Salesforce my advice would be that. You need to showcase your hands on abilities. It's all about the contribution you bring to the table. As much as you pay attention to your weaknesses and be ready to work towards promoting customer satisfaction and honesty.
