  • My main responsibility is to build and maintain websites and web applications. On a day-to-day basis, this involves writing and debugging code, designing interfaces and databases, and making sure websites meet the client's requirements. I also must stay up to date on the latest web technologies and trends to ensure that the websites I work on are up to date and properly functioning. Additionally, on a daily basis, I collaborate with other developers, designers, and other stakeholders to create a functional and effective user experience.

  • Yes, I have learnt a lot of new skills and developed existing ones. For instance, I have had to learn more about web frameworks such as Angular, React, and Vue. As I have spent more time developing websites, I have become increasingly better at debugging code, designing databases, building user interfaces, and creating better user experiences. I have also developed my interpersonal skills as I have had to collaborate with other developers and designers on a daily basis.

  • I enjoy my programme a great deal. There are constantly new things to learn and challenges to work on. Every day there is something to improve and create. Also, I get to work with creative and inspiring people as we all collectively work on projects and strive to create the best websites possible. Overall, I find this program to be both challenging and rewarding and enjoy being part of the team.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is very organised and structured. We have a clear timeline and deliverables for each project. We also have weekly meetings to discuss our progress and set goals for the upcoming week. Additionally, we have established techniques for testing code and regularly use code review to ensure consistency. Also, we have established coding standards and conventions that must be followed at all times. Every project is carefully planned and discussed beforehand so that everyone on the team knows exactly what their tasks are.

  • I receive a great deal of support from my employer. They are always available to help answer questions or provide feedback in any way that is needed. They have also provided me with the necessary resources for learning new techniques and staying up to date on web development practices. The employer also provides regular performance feedback and encourages us to attend events and workshops that can help improve our skills. Overall, I feel very supported by my employer and appreciate the opportunities they have provided me with.

  • My training provider is very supportive in helping me work towards my sucess. They provide me with comprehensive resources and materials to help with my work. They also provide personalized support and guidance when needed. Additionally, I am able to reach out for help with any challenges I may face . They even provide me with access to a mentor to help me stay motivated and on task. Overall, I feel that the support I receive from my training provider is invaluable and has allowed me to progress successfully towards my qualifications.

  • My qualification helps me to perform better in my role tremendously. It has given me a greater insight into all of the aspects of web development, including coding, designing interfaces and databases, and making sure websites meet the client's requirements. Furthermore, it has allowed me to develop more advanced skills, such as working with web frameworks such as React, Angular and Vue. It has also helped me become a more effective problem solver, which is essential in web development. Overall, I feel that my qualification gives me an edge when it comes to my role as a web developer.

  • Yes, there are many extra-curricular activities to participate in at work. We often have social activities such as team lunches, happy hours, and game nights. Furthermore, my company is part of a professional network which hosts events such as talks, conferences, and hackathons. Additionally, my team has a basketball team for us to join. Overall, there is a range of extracurricular activities to get involved in, which I feel has contributed to our team cohesiveness and professional development.

My experience here has allowed me to grow as an engineer while also developing meaningful relationships with my colleagues. Bright Future Software is an excellent software company that provides its employees with room for growth, collaboration, and learning.

  • My advice to others applying to Bright Future Software is to be prepared and to do their research.
