  • I am in charge of conducting laboratory tests on biological fluids and tissues, analysing the results, and communicating the results to doctors. I would analyse laboratory samples of various kinds on a daily basis using tools, techniques, and methodologies from science. This would entail conducting quality assurance tests, fixing issues, and calibrating equipment as necessary. Other responsibilities would include labelling samples accurately, entering data into computer systems used in laboratories, and preparing slides for microscopy. In order to detect and cure illnesses, I would also be in charge of carrying out a number of laboratory tests in a safe and accurate manner.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, while serving in this capacity, I have undoubtedly grown and refined numerous skills. My knowledge of scientific procedures, processes, and laboratory testing has improved. My time management, data entry, computing, and problem-solving abilities have all increased, in addition to my organisational and communication skills. Additionally, I have improved my knowledge of clinical laboratory science and diagnostic pathology, which has improved my ability to deliver accurate results.

  • I adore being a medical technologist in my current position. It is a very gratifying and difficult work that enables me to daily enhance patient care. Because of the precision and accuracy required for lab testing, it is the ideal position for someone wishing to have a significant effect in the medical industry. I also like keeping up with how the lab's technology and methods are continuously changing.

  • My course is highly planned and organised. I have a thorough list of things I need to get done every day. Everyone is aware of their tasks and obligations thanks to the clear precept system we've established. In addition, our lab work is subjected to stringent quality control procedures to guarantee accuracy and consistency. As a result, I am able to concentrate and perform well.

  • My employer has been really helpful. I go through extensive training and education programmes to make sure I have the skills and information I need to do my job well. In order to perform my job more effectively, I also have access to information and tools.   • I believe that my qualifications help me to perform better as a medical technologist. Through my training provider I have obtained the necessary licenses and certifications to be a qualified medical technologist that enable me to confidently perform my job. Additionally, I have gained the practical skills and knowledge pertaining to medical technology which gives me the confidence to correctly and efficiently measure, interpret, and analyze medical data.

  • Yes, my employer is very supportive of my extracurricular activities. Numerous official and casual social events as well as networking opportunities are available. To foster camaraderie and team spirit, my coworkers frequently organise social gatherings and sporting events. To keep current in our industry, we constantly attend conferences and workshops for professional growth.
