  • Call to customer's seeing if they require a clearance of the septic tank, passing information to the depot, getting account's set up for our domestic customers. Handling inbound calls, dealing with the the various customer enquiries, making sure to follow up and get the best customer service possible.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • How to handle various customer enquiries, how one should talk on the phone with a customer, listening to their requests, finding the deeper issue and how it should be handled with patience. Learning various information about how off mains sewage works, whether the customer requires, maintenance, clearances or passing information

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • It has been a very interesting experience, that has allowed a deeper understanding of the business and business itself. Learning and researching business and customer service techniques in order to help the customers in the best way possible - using the skills I have found, gaining a deeper understanding of the industry

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I am allocated one work day to complete the apprenticeship per week - allowing me to not only complete the assigned work in a timely manner - allowing further research that can aid my understanding further. The questions and recommendations of research are well structured and easy to understand, showing what work I need to do at what point

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer allows me to independently do my apprenticeship work on one work day per week - providing the space and quiet to do the customer service course to the full extent - they have provided support and answers to various questions I have pertaining to the course, they will often come to meetings with my tutor - keeping them updated on what is happening

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Replies quickly to any emails I send requesting advice and support - he structures the apprenticeship questions in clear ways - providing suggestions of what to research, while also allowing me to look further into any potential topic that I find interesting - so that I can also incorporate it into my apprenticeship work.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I have a greater understanding as to why a good level of customer service is important and vital in providing the best customer service experience possible - leading to strong retention of customers to the business and allowing the business to have a strong reputation for providing a good level of customer service

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are various activities that go on throughout the office - if a holiday or celebration is going on the office will plan activities we are all invited to participate in - the sales team also takes part in incentives that have rewards - either for the entire group or individual - raising morale and motivation.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • The work environment is very supportive and cares about the individual - providing extra and a variety of support dependent on the that individuals needs. They allow us to work towards our targets - pushing and supporting us in a way that does not make you feel overly pressured but instead supported and valued.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Cleansing Service Group Ltd?
  • That the final stage of them choosing a hire is that they look at how a person's personality will fit within and work with the team that is already in place - the best way to approach the interview is to be yourself, be professional but also let your personality show too
