  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role at Cummins is to build/repair engines. My day to day basis involves... - Stripping down engines ready for rebuilt. - Identifying engine defects - Repairing engines - Cleaning/organising parts - Preparing new engines by matching them to customers specification. When stripping engines, we make note of any defects we find as this is vital information when it comes to rebuilding. To get an engine ready for a rebuild, all needed parts are identified and we clean the parts that can be reused.
