  • Yes, knowledge of working practices in software engineering

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The learning is interesting however the KSB's on the apprenticeship side seem very loose and vague.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Not great, after onboarding there are periods with little structure the training provider is also hit with staff shortages creating scheduling changes and moving to a mainly online model.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • TUI are very supportive, they allow me time to study beyond the 20% and people always offer help when needed.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I feel a bit disconnected from the provider as online sessions can be difficult to follow. However tutors are generally responive to questions, and provide source materials to supplement the work

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • There are elements that help, ususally understanding terms. I haven't seen a crossover of skills yet, though it is still early days.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I have set up and run a social network for gaming, I am also organising a community volunteering day

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • They are a very supportive and inclusive company and I fully support their values and commitment to sustainability. Also the apprenticeship scheme is a fantastic opportunity I never thought I would have.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to TUI UK & Ireland?
  • Be your true self, embrace the culture and just be a nice person.
