  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My day-to-day role involves me placing material orders, updating spreadsheets with the relevant information, liaising with suppliers, monitoring staff's annual leave entitlement, putting together folders to keep information secure, monitoring vehicles speed and journeys, goods receipting purchase orders once we have received the goods and just general admin duties.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have really developed my communication skills both verbal and non-verbal. I have learnt how to deal with suppliers on the phone and how to communicate with them so it works both for them and me. Having stronger communication skills has allowed me to become more confident within my job role and I have been able to establish a good relationship with suppliers.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are different programmes and groups available for employees to join. I think this is really good and beneficial as it builds the relationship of people in the business that may not be involved with each other or work with one another if these groups/activities were not an option.
