  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The programme itself is okay, it can be very time demanding and a struggle to manage that time. Especially when undertaking multiple training program's, a fulltime job, life commitments etc... Even taking holidays can be difficult due to University deadlines. That said, at the end of it, it is very rewarding and feels deserved.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The university programme is not very well structured at times. I have had it where we have started modules/assignments that we have had to challenge don't quite fit our requirements. Sometimes the university is accommodating but other times its not. Not all lecturers appreciate how difficult it can be to manage time constraints with being a higher degree apprentice.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • As a student pursuing a master's degree, Capgemini has been incredibly supportive. The company has provided me with a flexible work schedule that accommodates my class schedule and has encouraged me to continue my education by providing financial assistance for tuition and books. This has allowed me to pursue my academic goals while gaining valuable real-world experience.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The support differed from lecturer to lecturer, some are really supportive and understanding of your position. Others appear to be quite detached from your situation as a higher degree apprentice and do not respect your limited time commitments to the programme. There are methods to escalate this but the sentiment is that it will always be the next students to undertake the programme that will see the feedback implemented.

  • Capgemini has many social activates, groups, networking events and much more. It is a very large organization and there is always someone who shares your interests. This is sadly often limited to virtual events due to the new way of working but physical meetups are slowly becoming more common again.
