  • My role involves the management of Mechanical and Electrical design, installation and commissioning on major projects within London.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed my technical skills throughout my apprenticeship, by carrying out my role as an MEP manager within the company, as well as partaking in my university course. The Mace apprenticeship programme includes an MEP portfolio that has allowed me to expand my technical knowledge on the MEP systems.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have enjoyed my programme throughout, it has allowed me to gain the basic knowledge and experience to carry out my role, as well as the responsibility to progress my career.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The Mace apprenticeship programme is well structured with plenty of internal training sessions that allow you to gain knowledge in all areas of the construction industry.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have always felt supported throughout my apprenticeship and any concerns that I have raised have been dealt with by my line manager and director.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Mace allow study days in order to support apprentices in completing their academic qualification. I have always been able to complete me university work within my work hours if that is required.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The building services engineering qualification is a brilliant introduction into the industry and gives you a solid foundation to build your knowledge.
