  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I spent the morning drafting up tax returns to send to clients and then usually in the afternoon I reply to the queries clients have as well as submitting approved tax returns.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt many things through my apprenticeship although most of this does not apply to my job role however I have learnt a lot about the accounting team and what they do and I believe this helps me work better with them.

  • AAT Level 3 has taught me a lot and has allowed me to learn and advance my knowledge

  • The programme is structured really well as I never find myself struggling to do something

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer will usually allow me time to complete my apprentiship work and will also allow me study days before an exam usually to make sure that I am fully prepared for the exam

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Lots of support is available to me when I need it and I never feel like I am being left to work something out on my own.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • As the AAT Level 3 does not apply directly to my job role there are only a few things that apply however I do find I can work better with the accounting team due to understanding their job role a bit more.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I would not say there are extra curricular activities per say we do however go out as a team quite often outside of work so that everyone can get to know each other outside of work.

  • Yes

  • I feel like I have learnt a lot whilst working here and am working towards qualifications that will help me in the future

  • Just be yourself as the office environment thrives on everyone being themselves and working together as one team
