  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is logging tax returns, issuing fees and dealing with client queries as they submit their information. I also answer calls to help guide clients through processes and help give them access to information such as rebates, required information and guidance on any area. I must oversee numerous brands while doing this.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed lots of new skills. This includes Calculation rebates, knowledge on taxable income thresholds, requirements to submit a return. HMRC information ect. I have also developed my English and maths as I have to communicate with clients effectively while having proper knowledge on the subjects they need guidance with

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme as I have a lot of support and guidance . Anyone in my team is willing to help me with any issues I may have. I have also had a chance to gain a relationship with my clients. Overall I enjoy the ways of which I can learn and the job role

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • This programme is very structured and organised. You have tasks of which you can complete for your apprentiship , this is easily accessible and we are given set hours in the work day to ensure we can complete our tasks within the work day so we don’t need to work from home

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive support from my employer and the whole team. Along with this my trainer ( for my apprenticeship) helps me massively with my work and any personal issues I may have. I am Also shown how to look after my mental health ect. Due to this I would say I get support in all areas

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive a lot of support with regular meetings, easy communication and the tools my trainer provides me with to complete my work. If I have any issues she will help me and explain them further. She will also make sure I have the fullest understanding possible before moving on

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I believe they massively support my role. Not only with understanding how my role works. They help me carry out my role better by using cog assist. This is specific to me and helps me learn my learning styles and gives methods that will help me improve my overall performance

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We have annual party’s that are held by the company. Along with this we often go out together as a team to meals, events ect. We attempt to do these every month and most people attend. These are always fun and everyone is included .As a team we choose where to go and what to do

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend this company as they provide alot of support . The ethics and team that work here are amazing. And like I said previously they are always willing to help and push each other to thrive and exceed. The work hours are flexible and I enjoy day to day work life


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Optionis Group?
  • I don’t believe any tips are needed. The application process is incredibly easy, in the interview the people are kind and easy going. They give you tips and tricks before your interview so you are properly prelaoured abd on your first day everyone comes together to help you understand
