  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Currently, I am working in a department called CR-T-40, specifically PMP which is Problem Management. This role involves daily problem solving of various quality topics which are being identified within a specific area that I am working in. For me this is final assembly so CR-T-44. I follow a structured approach to solving these issues by learning and understanding the PMP process.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, I believe I have learned many new skills and improved my problem-solving and time management abilities through practice and experience. I have developed my communication skills, organizational skills, and ability to adapt to new situations. Additionally, I have gained proficiency in various software programs and tools that have helped me work more efficiently.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I find my programme very enjoyable as it provides me with opportunities to develop my skills in a professional work environment and gain a qualification simultaneously. This experience is fulfilling and rewarding, and I am grateful for the chance to grow both personally and professionally.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The course is well-structured with clearly defined units, which is beneficial. However, there is room for improvement in terms of the colleges organisational and communication skills. Sometimes, it can be challenging to receive clear communication, but overall, the course structure provides a solid foundation for learning.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I feel like I receive a lot of support from my employer, and I really could not complain at all about it. It makes me more productive and satisfied at work. Overall, I am really happy with the level of support I am getting from my employer on a regular basis.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have been receiving a lot of support from my training provider while working towards my qualifications. They have been really helpful in answering any questions I have and providing me with additional resources when I need them. Overall, I feel like I have the support I need to get the grade i want and qualification.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • While I appreciate the qualifications I am receiving from my training provider, I do not always feel that they directly relate to my job role. However, there are some units that are very applicable and have helped me to perform better in my role. Overall, I think the qualifications do help me learn skills which can be used within my work environment, even if not all of the content is directly relevant to my job.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, there are extra-curricular activities to get involved in at my work. Personally, I take part in the golf society, which is a great opportunity to socialize with colleagues while enjoying a round of golf. Additionally, I occasionally play 6-a-side football on Wednesdays, which is a fun way to get some exercise and interact with colleagues outside of work.

  • Yes

  • By undertaking an apprenticeship at Rolls Royce, you will have the opportunity to receive training and gain practical experience in the field. This will equip you with valuable skills and knowledge that are highly sought after by employers in the automotive industry. Additionally you will work alongside experienced professionals who will provide mentorship, helping you to grow both professionally and personally.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group?
  • I would suggest advising them to be transparent and honest about their skills and experience during the application process. Emphasise that the program is designed to hone and develop their skills over the course of their apprenticeship, so it is important that they are honest about their current level of expertise.
