  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • The course I am doing involves a yearly rotation meaning over the four year period of my apprenticeship I will have experienced four different job roles. In my current rotation I am an HR executive and have been working with our Reward team and Talent Acquisition Team. Everyday is different but I am currently working on projects for employee recognition, pension schemes and employee benefits.

  • I have developed my Excel knowledge and become more confident with using excel to analyse data and to feed data into the systems we use to ensure we have the best data quality possible. I have also improved my time management skills as I have to balance work load with my university assignments and lectures.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I think my first year rotation has been well organised and I was giving all the information I needed prior to my start day. However I feel there could be better communication between my employer and my university as sometimes it can feel they are not on the same page as one other. Individually I feel that everything has been structured well.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I feel I am well support by my training provider and all tool I could use to help me when studying or writing an assignment were shown to us on our induction day. But I do think because we have block learning and are only on campus once every three months for a week it can come time feel like we are less supported.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Because we will work in many different roles I feel that the qualification will help different people at different time depending on what rotation they are in and what modules we are currently learning. The more we cover and change roles the more we will see where the training from our qualification helps our roles.
