  • Yr 1 - I became an expert in a billing system from scratch. Yr 2 - I also manage projects and workstreams. I also work on standardising information management. General - I support the Early Careers team as an engagement/outreach rep.

  • Stakeholder Management, Business Case building, Communication, Lateral Thinking, Self-Reflection, Scoping

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Very much. I would recommend this programme to anybody who is a self-starter eager to explore anything and everything.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is very up to the apprentice to structure their programme with BT. QA has it very well-organised. BT is building more structure right now.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • A lot, if I ask for it. But it's hard to know what support is out there/to ask for when you're new.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Incredible support. I have a dedicated skills coach and the training provider themselves frequently put in check-in sessions with learners especially at L6.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I immediately get to compare theory to reality in the business, and try theory out in my own practice what I believe to be a safe learning environment in the workplace.

  • Loads: People Networks, Early Careers Outreach/Ambassadorship, Volunteering, Proprietary Workshops and Training, Upskilling

  • Yes

  • There are ample opportunities to pursue to develop as an academic, a professional, and perosnally.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BT?
  • You have to stay organised or else everything will fall apart. Keep in mind your long-term strategy, and BT's long-term strategy and values.
