  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role involves overseeing the team on that shift, supervising and allocating work as well as managing my department. I also open and close the store, and I am responsible for my own KPI's.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • A lot of the stuff I learnt I already knew, so it helped consolidate my learning and also find new ways of working too.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • At first I found my programme frustrating because I felt I wasn't stretched enough, but I was able to find a rhythm of completing the work.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It could probably do with more structure and check ins at the start, but once this was addressed, it became more structured.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer gives me enough agency to work independently and to empower me to control my own learning progress. However, if I needed support, it would be provided.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • For my role, not as much. But if you were still working as a customer shop floor assistant, it would be helpful.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I was able to visit our RCC warehouse in Swindon, where I got to learn about operations
