  • I work in a cost accounting role dealing with a range of day to day and month end work. I make contact with a range of business partners to acquire information and use that data to provide valuable insight. I also am a Pulse Champion and in TIC

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • My excel skills, networking skills and professional analytical skills have massively increased as I often use them now. I find I can now easily reach out to people when I need assistance or just to make friends.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my job and more importantly the people I work with which makes me excited to keep working

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The course is set out and structured so that we know when and what to study, initially I struggled with getting enough work but now a few months in it has picked up a lot

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Any time I am struggling with anything I can go to a range of people for help. I also have multiple set out 1 to 1s with my team leader so I am very supported. The study side of it feels a little less supported

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The training provider was very good but not perfect, there were some difficulties in getting onboarded and now that we have completed our 2 in person sections the rest are online

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It has made me feel much more confident and understanding in the tasks I am doing the the terminology that is used throughout the company as before I wasn't sure of a lot of things

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, there are a huge range of social events, from sports to go karting to dance. There is also professional opportunities such as recurring social events and corporate as well as TIC and Pulse Champion network

  • Yes

  • I am really happy in my job and I am learning all the time


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to JLR?
  • Get as much experience as you can to try and make yourself a rounded person before applying. This includes volunteering, work experience, sports, charity work and more
