  • Listening to and advising customers. Managing stock. Unloading lorries. Range changes.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Since i started i have learnt how to operate forklift trucks, the timber saw, the tills. It has also booosted my confidence in talking to people.

  • Very much so.

  • Its pretty straight forward and easy to understand and easy to use. I do wish there was more personal meetings, which i believe they are getting back to post covid.

  • Employer gives me my allocated time to do my work. Although sometimes it is difficult to get away if i am the only one working on my department.

  • My training provider is always there for me, if i have any questions or concerns.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Gives me insights and makes me think about things i would not have done beforehand

  • There is not, although i do organise activities with work friends outside of work.

  • Yes

  • The people are amazing there. There is scope for progression and support to help you get there.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to B&Q?
  • Talk to as many of the staff as you can. The staff is what makes it a great place to work
