  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a business operations analyst who works within a business unit with CapGemini. I look into the operations within the unit of my company. I then look into improvements within the unit. I help with resourcing aspects and finance aspects of my role. It involves onboarding and offboardimg of resources into my area too.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have. I’ve learnt how to better communicate with people in work. I’ve learnt the appropriate times to send an email or a teams message. My confidence has also grown throughout the apprenticeship. My ability to look into implementing improvements in the business operations process has also improved.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I throughly enjoy the programme. I really like everyone that I work with and haven’t come across anyone who doesn’t share CapGemini’s 7 core values. I believe everyone is really supportive and they make the company a great place to work for. I feel the work I do is valued and important which makes the experience more enjoyable.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is well structured and has great opportunities for improvement and development throughout the course. The company gives opportunities to develop your skills through rotations into different roles throughout the business. In terms of university work, the company organised study leave well and gives their apprentices flexibility in booking study leave days.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I believe the support I receive is excellent. The people who I work with are really supportive of my needs and requirements. There’s a great system of reviewers and buddies within CapGemini which make the experience far more supportive and more enjoyable to work with. University work is also supported well through study leave and skills coaches.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive a lot of support with my qualifications. There are plenty of opportunities to gain additional qualifications and my team prompt me to gain them. There’s plenty of funding towards gaining the qualifications too. There’s also often courses to go on to improve my learning experience and to gain additional qualifications.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I believe my qualification definitely does support me. The skills I learn through the course consist of communications, developing managerial skills, marketing and team skills; all of which help me. Furthermore, we learn financial aspects in the course which helps towards the financial part of my role. The course also gives me greater team building skills.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes there are plenty of extracurricular activities. There’s sports teams which people get involved in which can build connections. Furthermore, there’s teams channels which are used for community activities and events. There’s often groups on teams which has people with the same interests such as photography and gaming.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • CapGemini is a great company which is on over 50 different countries. The company offers opportunities for development such as different courses and qualifications. The organisation within the company is really good and the culture within the company is really warming and makes you feel welcomed. A lot of people will think the same as me.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Capgemini?
  • Make sure to research the company well. Understand the basic concepts of what the company does in IT. Have an understanding of the main accounts which CapGemini work on. Understand your role well. Make sure to do work experience since it reduces the amount of interviews you do during the process.
