I was involved in online talks about different fields of law like employment and street law. I took part in group interactive sessions, learning crucial law skills along the way.
I learnt more critical thinking, communication and teamwork skills. I also used my debating skills in the group work. I also gained more knowledge on different routes into law and cv and interview tips.
I really enjoyed my work experience and feel like I have a much wider knowledge on what solicitors do on a day to day basis. I now know there are lots of different paths into law which I didn’t know before. This has really helped me see how much I’m interested in law and how it suits my abilities and also my personality.
The work experience was very well organised and well run. I was very impressed with how smooth everything went and there were only a few technical difficulties along the way.
I did learn that teamwork is a key part of Pinsent masons and also it is a purpose led firm. I can tell that it is a great firm to work in and all the trainee solicitors echo each other when they talk about the nice feel in the office. I would of loved to attend the insight day too to see what it’s like in the office as well and possibly would have liked even more information on what it would be like to work in Pinsent masons.
This work experience has made me more certain on my future career in law. I can see that working as a solicitor is a varied, challenging and interesting job and I feel like I would suit it very much. The different routes into law and how they are all values equally to employers was also great to learn.
No I was not paid or reimbursed for this experience.
Yes there were two networking lunches which I attended one and would of loved even more people to join it.
Yes
Because this course was so informative and fun to attend and I really enjoyed listening to all of the speakers and trainee solicitors!
I would say be honest and be confident! Tell Pinsent Masons how you are unique and want to learn more about law.
