Variety of activities, each giving an insight to different parts of the law at Pinsent Masons. This ranged from street law to employment law. Furthermore, we were given interview and application tips which are really useful for the future.
I learnt a lot more about what solicitors do and a day to day bases. I was also able to develop my critical thinking skills by participating in tasks such as the case study or Jaffa cake debate.
Overall, I really enjoyed the work experience. All the tasks were useful for helping me understand the type of work solicitors do. Furthermore, I learnt more about application tips, both for university and future job applications. Everyone was really nice and supportive.
The work experience was really well organised. The platform used, Forage, was really easy to navigate and useful to see what sessions were coming up next. There was also lots of support from the students team, whether this was for a question or tech related problem.
Although most of the program was virtual, since we had a chance to talk to trainee solicitors, I was still able to get a feel for the culture at Pinsent Masons. All the solicitors who spoke to us talked about the culture and how good the atmosphere is.
This work experience helped to confirm that law is the path i want to follow in the future. As well as giving an insight into law at Pinsent Masons, the legal work we did helped me to discover what tasks a trainee solicitor does.
Although most of the program was virtual, on the in person insight day there was a nice meal prepared for lunch.
Virtually there were a couple networking lunches which was nice however, it is not the same as in person.
Yes
