We completed various independent and teams-based tasks, giving us an insight into the legal profession.
I developed my team building skills, communication skills, and also learnt how legal documents work such as leases and contracts.
I really enjoyed my work experience. We got an in-person insight day which I thought was really interesting, as we got a tour of the office and got to see how a day in the life of a solicitor would go.
The work experience was very well organised. Apart from the slight complications that comes with teams, all of our sessions with various employees from Pinsent Masons were on time, and offered lots of variety.
We learnt a lot about the company culture. We took part in talks to do with Responsible Business and what that was like in the firm, and trainee solicitors ran through their daily routines to show us what it would be like to work at Pinsent Masons.
I was already set on law as my career path, but this work experience has really helped to solidify my decision.
We were not paid for the work experience, as it was just a taster session for us students of what law would be like in the workplace and also at university.
Yes, there was networking lunches where us students could speak to each other and also at the insight day we had lunch with trainee solicitors, allowing us to speak to them.
Yes
It seems to be a very inclusive and nice workplace, and their work experience programme was excellent.
Make sure to ask any questions you have, as everyone is very happy to answer them!
