My role is to help customers find the product that they need and to supply them with kitchens, doors and joinery ot help create their dream home. I talk to customers on a daily basis and create relationships which benefit the business.
I am much more confident with customer interactions and of course my selling techniques have improved. I have gained plentiful knowledge on kitchen products as well as doors and I think generally am more well rounded in the trade.
I enjoyed learning again and having a team within the branch that supported me was really great. Always very encouraging. I enjoyed the independent learning after having a break from university.
The programme I think is structured, I just think organisation needed to be just a little bit better. Having a second back up team would have been helpdul when organisers become sick or change job roles to continue supporting.
I received lots of support from my branch manager and definitely encouragement form Benchmarx as a general rule. I think in the Travis side of the programme at the apprenticeship team it was [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] who saved me and allowed me to get the distinction grade.
I think the support was little until the end wehen new mentors were introduced
I think it helped support knowledge I was relaying to customers, and enforced the information I was giving out. I think it gives me people skills and general safety knowledge surrounding my job. I think you could become a KD without this.
Social activities happen within our team, everyone is up for a night out if mentioned
Yes
I think coming experiences will be better than mine and I think it would be especially useful for school leavers. However I think this would be suitable with more guidance.
Ensure you read the programme before you start and be prepared to research. Step Outside the box with your leaning.
