  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed my time management skill whilst at Accenture due to the fast paced working environment. Furthermore, my flexibility within work has also improved as I strive to do as much as I can for the company. My main improved skill is communication as it is key to communicate with your team and wider to ensure everything runs smoothly. With weekly calls and catch ups, I ensure communication is always present.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The programme is a great learning experience. Learning about HR whilst getting the experience- not to mention a CIPD certificate- motivates me to work harder. It's a fantastic opportunity for hands on experience and networking whilst learning about your role as well as the many other sectors of HR.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The organisation of the prgramme makes it easy for me to manage my time. I have a half day each Friday to dedicate 20% of my time to my studies. On top of that, we have a schedule that highlights different live sessions and essays / tasks we need to do for our apprenticeship. With this in mind, I have constant support from my workplace, my team and also the Apprenticeship providers- BPP.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • More than I ever thought I would get! I have weekly catch ups with my people lead and manager where I go through how I'm doing in my apprenticeship and work. Whenever I needed support or time for my studies, they instantly helped me gain that time and take work from my shoulders if need be. Extremely supportive.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have calls with my coach every two / three weeks who tracks my progress and asks me how I am doing. She is one email away whenever I need support. For each assignment I have had, she breaks it down for me to understand it as well as giving her own time to call me however I struggle. They also have live sessions where they answer everyone's questions and go through each assignment step by step which makes it a lot easier to grasp information. Very supportive.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Knowing that I will earn a CIPD at the end of my Apprenticeship, motivates me to work as hard as I can. That CIPD certificate not only will help me really begin my career but also prove to myself and others that my knowledge on HR is developed. I ant to learn as much as I can and prove that I have gained that knowledge when I pass.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes! It is difficult because of Covid to organise events, however, Accenture is all about people. Recently, I attended a cherty event where myself and our team designed skateboards for children in London who needed support. We worked as teams with music in the background, all supplies given to us and has creativity competitions. The whole experience was extremely fun- not to mention the 3 course meal at the end- courtesy of Accenture.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Accenture to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • The support I have been given has pushed me to work harder within my role. The company not only creates a welcoming environment, but puts it's people first. I have never been in such a wonderful workplace where everyone is so friendly and laid back, whilst also extremely hard working and determined. Words cannot describe how much I have enjoyed my experience at Accenture- I just don't ever want to leave!

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Accenture?
  • Network!! Everyone is one message / email away. Each person I have spoken to- not matter their status in the workplace- has messaged me back and offered their time for a call. Knowing people helps build confidence and increases opportunity. Be yourself. Accenture encourages a diverse workplace where everyone can speak their mind and be who they want to be. So don't be anyone but yourself- trust me, you'll be appreciated.
