lots of interpersonal skills built on over the course..developed CAD skills, communication skills and gained better understanding of the market Im in.
The entire course was delivered remotely due to Covid..Enjoyed some modules more than others, some modules lacked clear communication alot of times myself and other apprentices were confused and asking eachother for help, my our coach left right before our end point assessment which meant I wasnt invited to join the end point assessment webinar which made my assessment really stressful..I was also told Id be entered into my assessment and be in role by October yet I didnt actually do it until March the following year meaning I had to go back through my exam prep. Very stressful business when youre already working 12 hour days just doing my day job.
Quite poorly structured, I felt some of the modules should have been done in a different order to make the learning more fluent. The guidance given for the tasks were difficult to understand with typos/bad grammar. When asking for help my coach would just email us a further explanation which usually only confused us learners more. I wasnt told that I had to study for my maths fucntional skills level 2 qualification for 6 months meanign I had to cram everything in and hope I passed the exam. Very stressful
I relied on my in branch colleagues quite lot for support-line managers and other Design Consultants around the region.
I wasnt told I needed to start my maths revision for 6 months and then was sent a mock exam with an exam booked and was pressured to complete it on that day by my coach even though I werent ready.. luckily I passed, again very stressful.
It helps me by giving me the confidence to show my learning through my works and gave me the extra 6 months to cement what Ive been learning and put into practise.

The course needs serious work, its not fair on honest learners.
Network whilst on the course as much as possible that way youll have people you can go to if needed.
