  • 1. Please give an overview of what your work experience involved:
  • During my time doing work experience with pinsent masons we did a numerous of activities some of these included talking to solicitors and learning about how to draft. We also had a chance to speak to lodes of people from a variety of different sectors and do an task where we debated if a jaffa cake was a cake or biscuit.

  • 2. What training and skills development did you learn from your work experience?
  • I learned a lot of new skills some of these included interview tips. someone spoke to us about the dos and don’t when going to a interview. we also got taught about how to make our CVs better which will help me when i start applying for jobs and universities in the future.

  • 3. To what extent did you enjoy your work experience?
  • i enjoyed the experience a lot as i found it very interactive. The people who taught the lessons were very included of the students and we were often able to discuss and were promoted to talk about the things we had been learning. i enjoyed every lesson that pinsent masons taught us.

  • the lessons were very organised and we had a time table available to us so we could see the tasks and sessions we had next. the way the employees at pinsent masion were organised and always available made the experience a lot more well run and organised and they had it under control

  • 5. How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?
  • The things i have learnt from pinsent masions is a lot about the roles you fulfil when working. i learnt a lot about them being very supportive of lgbtq which i didn’t know prior to the sessions i also learnt about how the employees can go running during their lunches with some other coworkers

  • 6. How much did your work experience help you in deciding on your future career path?
  • pinsent mansions work experience helped me decide on a future career pathway as it taught me in depth what i am expected to do to meet my dreams of working within the legal industry i found the entry to law session very helpful as it showed me the subjects and grades i need to enter a law degree

  • none of the students at the pinsent masions work placement was paid this is due to it being a work experience and just a taster on the law and a insight of how pinsent masions run their company. they provided us a with a lot of information so i can still gain something from it

  • we were often in smaller sessions which contained people from all over the united kingdom the staff at pinsent masions also often prompted us to have our cameras on and to discuss with each other what we believe was right and wrong people often also spoke in the chat and pinsent masions also provided a networking lunch to connect with people

  • Yes

  • i would recommend it to a friend as it was a enjoyable experience and we got to find out a lot about the law which schools often don’t teach us or have a subject to provide it the discussions were very useful and you learn a-lot of skills and make connections


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Pinsent Masons?
  • my personal advice to people who are considering applying to pinsent masions would be that you should be confident and do things out your comfort zone you should be yourself and not be nervous to turn on your camera or microphone as the people are so helpful and will answer your questions.
