  • 1. Please give an overview of what your work experience involved:
  • my work experience involved 3 days of different tasks and experiences giving me an insight into law. we did things such as group debates, working with supervisors, presentations on environmental law and contract law. we also did a legal task and was given the chance to work with professionals throughout.

  • 2. What training and skills development did you learn from your work experience?
  • I learned how to develop skills such as communicating with others, understanding laws and how to read acts. I was able to learn how to analyse contracts to better understand the implications. I was able to develop my debating skills, and knowledge on how to structure an argument to effectively give my views.

  • 3. To what extent did you enjoy your work experience?
  • I really enjoyed my work experience, I think it was an amazing opportunity to get a taste for law and what the industry entails. this experience also allowed me to somewhat finalise the decision that law is definitely the career path I want to pursue in the future. overall it was an informative and worthwhile work experience.

  • 4. How well organised was your work experience?
  • My work experience was extremely well organised and easy to understand, the information needed was easily accessible to participants. the schedule and tasks were formatted in one place, to allow for an organised experience. I found it easy to understand the timetables set in place, and complete tasks in n orderly fashion.

  • 5. How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?
  • while on my three day work experience i was given the opportunity to hear and converse with people inside of the business, giving me an overall feel for the company culture and what it would be like to practice there. this left a good impression of the business, showing how the operate effectively

  • 6. How much did your work experience help you in deciding on your future career path?
  • before my work experience i had a relatively good idea of what i wanted to do with my future, this consisted of Law or Forensic Psychology. however this experience has definitely led me to lean more toward Law, it has given me a taste for what my future could look like, leaving me more interested in the prospect of studying law.

  • i was not paid or reimbursed for this three day work experience with Pinsent Masons, this was due to it not being a job and also because it was online meaning there were to expenses to reimburse, i think the opportunity in itself was amazing and such a great experience to have.

  • the were many opportunities to network and meet with employees of Pinsent Masons, this can be seen through our supervisors, who spoke highly of their position within the company, this can also be seen through the panel talk, in which we were able to converse with solicitors within the company.

  • Yes

  • i would definitely recommend Pinsent Masons work experience to a friend, i believe it was a such an amazing experience and opportunity to not only learn more about Law as a career choose but also network with potential future employees etc. this would be a great opportunity to further your skills within Law.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Pinsent Masons?
  • if i were to give ti[s to others applying to Pinsent Masons, i would tell them to speak up, ask questions and engage with others and those leading the talks. its such an incredible opportunity to network and get your name out there while also showcasing your skills. i would also be conscious of the fact that this is your first impression with people in the field that you want to work in.
