  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is based on the project that I am on and changes as the project changes. As a Degree apprentice I can choose from a wide range of role that are available both technical and non technical roles. My current role is a mixture of a designer and PM. As a designer I create designs using stories created by the BA. And the PM role is made of tracking the different releases.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is well structure to the point that university education is aligned to the real world and can be useful while on projects to be able to deliver good client value. However, there is no set structure when it comes to projects and roles as you are expected to find a project that you like. The university courses as well are very disorganised sometimes.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The university is quite supportive as the lecturers offer a lot of support in understanding and learning the modules. However, the university degree can feel at times very disorganised and the university is not too supportive in getting the structure changed. You might have to ask for a lot of clarification which should not be the case at this level of education.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • From the company side of thing there are several groups and networks that you can join for extra curricular activity. Some groups focused on sports, socials, etc. However, due to covid it has been challenging to be able to make the most of these groups. The groups are open to everyone for joining.
