  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a customer service advisor within multi-channel being first point of contact for our customers. My role varies depending on call, i am responsible for money movement, booking branch appointments, charges and ensuring customers recieve good customer service.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • With regards to the apprenticeship - no as i havent had a visit from my co-ordinator and have not started the apprenticeship subjects as of yet.

  • I am unable to comment regarding this as i havent actually started the programme as of yet, but i am looking forward to getting started.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Santander?
  • I feel very valued by Santander, i receive development time and have monthly discussions with my manager on my performance you are always recieving feedback which is good as it will help with knowledge and progression.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Unfortuanatley it is not very well organised. All apprentices had there welcome meeting in January, however there has been no further communication.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I haven't had any support as i havent even picked the subjects i will be focusing on during my time on the apprenticeship programme.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I recieve good support for the role I do, from my manager, csm and our hr team.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I feel the salary could be more for the job we do but with in regards to cost it is enough for all outgoings and any other expenses i have.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Yes, Santander hold community and charity events and also do community work for local communities and schools.

  • 9. Would you recommend Santander to a friend?
  • Yes

  • Santander is a great company to work for they provide you with all necessary training and development and treat employees fairly they are also very rewarding with benefits and pension.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Santander?
  • Santander is great for career progression and moving to various departments if you feel like a different challenge, the interview stage can be very scary but all managers are very profeesional and make you feel at ease.
