Fibre telecoms engineer. Installing new fibre circuits to business customers.

Everything I do is a new skill that I didn't know about until I started my apprenticeship.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am really enjoying it. I think it's a good mix of practical and theory.

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well organised. From day 1 the structure and organisation has been great.

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

As much support as I need. They have an assistance programme which we were informed about right from the beginning of employment. My local managers are incredibly supportive also.

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Regular teams meetings and the ability to call or email them any time for advice or support about my qualification.

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It confirms skills that I have already learnt and which I need to work on.

8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes. Social activities organised by manager.

Yes

Professional and well organised company. I felt like part of the team from day one and they have been very inclusive.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BT?

Don't be put off by the awkward video interview. Be friendly and tell them about any customer service experience you have.
