  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I have just finished my 13 weeks bootcamp training as part of my apprenticeship and will now take on the role of a Database Administrator (DBA) which is a technical support role that I will enjoy. I will be working on a particular account and my day to day job would be handiling and maintaining databases for the account I will be on - also consists of maintaining many applications, dealing with end user accounts and mostly supporting our customers - dealing with incidents.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I had very little programming experience when I first begun the apprenticeship but these have developed massively thanks to our fantastic tutors and I have learnt languages such as Java, SQL, PL/SQL and I have also completed a Data Modelling and Project Management course which has enhanced my skills alot. Without doubt I will be defininitley using my new skills I have learnt throughout my career and I am hopeful I will continue to develop my skills with Capgemini!
