  • My role is a telecommunications engineer for openreach, I get given multiple jobs to complete a day, this involves working on the copper network and fibre optic installations.

  • Yes I have learn a lot about copper wires, the faults and how they work and I’ve learnt many handy skills while installing fibre like drilling, cleating climbing ladders/poles

  • I enjoy the work that I do, every day if different and I’m learning new skills everyday

  • My company is very well organised and there is plenty of support in place to help me out at anytime. I have frequent reviews with assessors to see my progress

  • I get lots of support whenever I need it, plenty of numbers to call for help

  • I get frequent reviews from assessors and help in place when I need it

  • The qualification I will be receiving will help me in the future as well to show that I am skilled in the job that I do. I’m learning new skills all the time

  • There are social events for work which I do enjoy.

  • The company is a great company to work for and I would highly suggest anyone to apply and try it out, there’s lots of benefits in my company that helps.

  • Make sure your up for working hard everyday and don’t expect it to be the the same every job as there all different
