  • observing engineers' drawings and creating the drawn component in the correct way, Then completing Level 2 training in preparation to begin Level 3, Learning the required machining processes on the machines in the workshop and then being able to perform these processes to a suitable standard of safety as well as competency.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt the correct filing techniques, the scraping technique, how to check for imperfections in the material, how to deburr, how to use a pillar drill, the technique for using engineers' blue, how to read micrometres, height gauges and Vernier callipers, how to us dividers correctly to produce a radius

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • the program is enjoyable as it is very engaging and hands on given the area of work thetheory is also really relevant and helpful to know as it connects to the current practical jobs that are being performed and so feels more important as it can actually help you

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The program feels very structured and organised as a routine was generated very quickly and any changes to this routine are given in advance of the change allowing organisation to stay consistent allowing everyone to focus completely on our learning and development of skills and the theory and practical don't feel separate which help with the organisation.

  • support of various types is of constant availability if needed

  • the guidance and help given is clear, concise and thought out any misunderstandings are easily solved and the tuition is engaging and relevant to the topic

  • i feel that this qualification will help ensure that i build up on my skills from a solid foundation and understanding
