  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is to gain skills in mechanical engineering and practical machining in order to fully out turn into the business in a full time role. This can vary day to day from completing job orders to work shadowing, all while learning about the skills I will need.

  • I have learnt many new skills working here, especially in the engineering aspect of it. I have also developed general skills such as teamwork, leadership, time management etc.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am enjoying my apprenticeship a lot. It provides a lot of opportunities to learn on the job and you can further your skills and knowledge as much as you are willing to do so.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is a well organised programme. In my Level 3 it consists of two years in a training environment, and then a year of placement positions to learn on the job before fully out turning into a job role

  • I receive as much support as I need to have from my experience. There is always options to raise any concerns or issues that they can help fix too.

  • I receive a good amount of support from my training provider when working towards my qualifications. Any questions or uncertainties can be almost always be answered

  • The qualifications I earn through completing this apprenticeship help to show that I fully understand the training I am receiving and that I am confident in the work I am undertaking.

  • You can join at practically any qualification level which is inclusive for everyone. Be interesting and passionate on interviews and assessment days
