  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I look after children every day, provide educational needs to them. I do arrange of jobs during my one job role, welcoming children in, taking ratios, taking the children out in garden, providing snacks and lunches, having educational needs with toys and making sure they are covering each milestone link.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, I have learnt how to work in ratios, how to correctly do childrens folders and see what links they should hitting and if they aren’t what we can do to help them. How to deal with a child if they are misbehaving or being unkind. Also how to do feedback to parents.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I love this programme, I wouldn’t of wanted to do anything else! I’m so glad I did this and got the job, I’m grateful for being able to learn whilst having the experiences with my children everyday.

  • It’s very well structured it couldn’t of been put together any better honestly, the way I have the support and meetings from tutors but also the daily support off of my managers and coworkers

  • I receive a lot of support off of my employer, I turn to her all the time and ask what I can do to improve and is their anything I’m doing wrong ect. She gives me feedback and there’s nobody else I’d want as a role model then her.

  • I get all the support I need If I need anything all I have to do is ask

  • Very well, I completed all my training tasks through my company which made me perform better as I had the certifications and I knew the stuff. Now I know I need to be revising that stuff ect

  • They have been the best from day one and I started 2 months ago


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Mawsley Day Nursery?
  • Just be you that’s my top advice! Do your best and things will work out, I’ve been loving my job from before I even started and I still love it every day has challenges and sometimes will be hard but you don’t give up
