  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • A lot, my line manager always asks how I'm getting on with the uni side of things. He also helps me think of placements / projects I can work on that compliment what I'm learning about. Off the job time is hard to fit in, though.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • A lot, I think we receive quite a lot of face time with our lecturers when compared with a normal full time degree and this really helps when we're juggling learning alongside a full time job. Our tutors are also very responsive to questions. However, the apprenticeship side of the course hasn't been that well organised and quite confusing with what happens at the end of programme.

  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • It's a great brand to work for, the company pays apprentices very well, there is lots of support within the company for trainees and there is a large trainee network. Additionally, nearly everyone I have encountered is very willing to help the more junior people in the business and give them genuine responsibility.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Bentley Motors?
  • be confident, be open-minded, be prepared to jump in at the deep end! Don't worry if you don't know it all straight away
