  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Every day is different, I do not have a set day-to-day, however the core daily activities involve replying/generating emails to business stakeholders, colleagues and agencies. I attend and host lots of meetings. As a channel owner, checking my schedule to make sure I have not missed any deadlines. I complete anything I am working on to a high standard.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Using Trailhead, I have been able to learn how to use salesforce (marketing cloud and service cloud) which is vital in my job. Getting more confident in my presentation skills and hosting meetings. I have developed my Excel, Tableau and Smartsheet skills. done lots of LinkedIn Learning to make me more knowledgeable in my field.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I love my job and the university I am at. I am part of lots of projects and have been delegated lots of responsibility very quickly. There is pressure on but I like that as it makes me learn faster. I have been presented with lots of opportunities that benefit me and my work in the future.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is very well structured. We have an apprentices programme within our early careers section at work with mandatory event that must be attended. These are to make sure we are on track, improve our skills and understand more about the business. It includes networking days with other apprentices, industrial placements and graduates whilst making sure we are put on group projects with them too.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive lots of support. I have a great line manager who is VERY patient with all my questions, she is extremely understanding of my university commitments and allocated time I require to be an apprentice. The early careers committee is great at making sure we hit all aspects of our programme such as going to outreach events. We get discounts to the lifestyle centre, allocated days to do charity work, being part of the early careers network and the opportunity to attend lots of events.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I get my allocated time of 6 hours to balance my assignments with my work. They are very supportive and encourage me to feedback on what I am learning to encourage best and most modern practice.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Everything I have learnt so far at university I have used in my role - so it aligns almost perfectly. I have been able to provide my own opinion and have the knowledge to back up my points . In discussions with senior leaders we have been able to use information learnt at university to encourage a more modern approach to our customer segmentation.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • The Early Careers Committee does lots of networking events, there are sports teams, staff days, my team does social activities once a month, an allotment, Beconnected time to talk sessions.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Bentley Motors to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Winning the top employer award for the twelfth time consecutively I think says it all! It has given me so many great opportunities. It is such a great environment to work in with so many lovely people to be surrounded by. The facilities are world class and its incredible part of such a prestigious brand. I am proud to work at Bentley Motors and I think a lot of people are too!


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Bentley Motors?
  • You need to stand out in the large volume of applications they receive. Your CV needs to show that your passionate about what your applying for so make sure your work experience, any courses or opportunities you have been given are on there.
