  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Continuous improvement of production quality. Initial analysis of a defect and problem solving to eliminate the defect, working with colleagues to identify ways of improving the process or removing risks during production of our cars to ensure the defect won't happen again. Ultimately reducing wasted time and cost.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My University provide a useful tutor with availability to contact via email or Teams. However, they are not as accessible as I would like as it can take some time to communicate with them. I enjoy aspects of the University side of the apprenticeship but I prefer work.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It varies from module to module. Some are more applicable to my role than others. I believe I gain some useful knowledge through my training provider but I also believe I would be able to perform the role without the theory and purely with the training from my colleagues.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are many events within Bentley to get involved in and these vary. Some of these are purely internal and some involve the local schools and colleges. We have social events arranged for early careers colleagues to allow for networking. There is a gym onsite which I attend after work.
