  • My role involves providing data analysis to my team. This helps us make decisions going forward and review prior performance. I lend a hand in the process of making captivating campaigns for our customers. A huge part of my role involves stakeholder management.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I've learnt a plethora of skills during my apprenticeship such as stakeholder management. Having access to LinkedIn learning allows me to learn a range of skills in my own time and at my own pace. I've learnt Excel and SQL programming on my role.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I love the environment and the work culture that has been set within the company. It has made working here such a pleasure. I enjoy getting involved in engaging activities beyond my role too. The programme has comfortably exceeded my expectations.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • From my experience, the programme has been well structured. It's flexibility is its greatest strength as it tailors the programme to my needs allowing me to get the most out of this scheme. There's plenty of support from the training provider and the company I work for.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My manager is heavily involved in my development - supporting me and providing the support I need. They are easily approachable whenever a problem arises. I've rotated to a new team recently. I've found that I am having the same incredible experience with my new team.

  • I believe my training provider has been incredibly supportive on my programme. They're easily approachable in case I need to contact them if I have any questions or issues.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The assignments I've been set and the questions they ask are somewhat relevant to my role. There definitely have been occasions where I've been able to put what I've learnt and apply it to my role but this is not always the case.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There's a constant stream of extra curricular activities to get involved in. The apprentices and graduates are given the opportunity to attend social events to network throughout the programme.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend working at Virgin Media because the company is willing to nurture an environment where young motivated employees can thrive. The company is not slowing down when it comes to hiring graduates and apprentices - providing several opportunities for those eager to join us.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Virgin Media O2?
  • I'd recommend researching what the company has been working on recently as the past year has been an exciting time to be here due to the merge with O2. It would provide applicants context and impress interviewers.
