  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role involves making sure that all our data is up to date for my team and the different spreadsheets we use to make decisions regarding installations at our technical sites, I am also responsible for accepting requests for installations worth thousands of pounds.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes I have learnt how to be more fluent with excel, which helps me to be more organised as well as increasing my confidence by engaging with other teams and being able to lead my own meetings.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the programme as I am able to develop myself and progress my knowledge further to be able to understand more about what happens in telecoms.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is structured very well and involves us only needing to do a Two hour call once a month and then completing the work in our own time making sure we stay up with our 20% off the job learning.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support with constant support from my manager who is happy for me to complete education based work when it suits me and is able to offer me any help where necessary and helps me to develop myself.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The training provider is excellent and is always reachable even with so many different students which helps to make them more approachable, which means I am able to communicate clearly when I am stuck as well as constant help for mental wellbeings.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel that the qualification does a good job with helping me be better at my role as it allows me to understand and apply my existing knowledge from A levels to the business so I am more aware of where I work.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are always opportunities to do social events with other apprentices/grads, in the local town as well as being encouraged to take 5 days a year to volunteer which is fully paid for.

  • Yes
