  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role involves liaising with companies from around the world, carrying out activities which are required for any relationship with new business. This includes carrying out relative checks and procedures using different methods. Although I work mainly on my own, I have a supportive team to offer advice and support when it is required.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Our training provider is very hands on, the face to face learning is completed in an interactive manner which allows for a better understanding of the topics being taught. Through the marking of assignments the feedback from the provider motivates and aids you to be the best you can be. There are always there to support us with regards to the programme or any issue outside which may arise.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification directly relates to the job role I am in. This has positive attributes by allowing me to see the theory in practice. There are parts of the qualification which at first sight may not seem to directly relate to my role but then it becomes evident that the theory is the same but just seen from a different view point. This allows me to critically evaluate this theory when it comes to writing assignments.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Although at this precise time with Covid-19 many of our social activities were put on hold, the company strives to make a difference in our community. There are volunteering opportunities available with local charities which I am keen to take part in. PwC also value social activities within your team whether this be social dinners or activities. These have been taking place virtually throughout covid and face to face when it is safe to do so. There are so many social or extra curricular activities which can be availed of that you are spoilt for choice, there is something for everyone!

  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I feel that working for a "Top Employer" has given me an insight into how a workforce should be treated. Your efforts never go unnoticed, you feel valued, and last not but least the opportunities are endless. This is the first employer I have envisaged my long-term future and created my 10 year plan. These plans are supported by my team around me. I feel part of the company and not a number!
