  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Even though my programme is well structured, the type of trade we are in does affect your learning deadlines and schedule quite often, especially at the site i am at. Our site is a large site with 4 bars 3 kitchens and function rooms so sometimes when very busy with functions etc this can throw me off balance as its then difficult to find the time to catch up.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a great support from our area business development manager and from other general managers in our area. I have recently been given the opportunity to cover at another site and help with input and training there. This was a great thing for my development as i got to see how other sites operate and what works well and what doesnt.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification has made me very confident and taught me that you dont have to be young to further your education that you can be any age. it has given me more confidence in my role and encouraged me to aim higher. I started on a level 2 food and beverage and have since completed the level 3 hospitality supervisor and currently on the higher management programme level 4.
