  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • FTTP Provision to customers of service providers such as SKY, TALK TALK and BT for example. On a day to day basis I would provide the final installation to premises, installing new lines from pole or underground to the building. Finally installing fibre equipment at the customer end ensuring their fibre installation is complete and ready to be used.

  • 9a. Would you recommend BT to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Most definitely as everything has been brilliant. 1st class training, great teams/people working there. different challenges on a day to day basis, great training salary, great equipment provided to do the job. Great satisfaction and pride working for a 1st class company.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BT?
  • Do your research in to Openreach and think about how your self manageable. Be yourself and it will come across in your interview, the interviewers are great REAL people and have been where you are starting out. If a Service delivery fibre engineer job is what your applying for, make sure your somewhat comfortable with heights, eventually it becomes second nature, even those I had seen struggle a little with this at first are now breezing those poles! OVERALL YOUVE GOT THIS GIVE IT YOUR BEST SHOT!! Its a great place to work.
