On a day-to-day basis, my role involves working within a team, on tasks assigned to me. These tasks are either bug fixes, development of a current feature, or developing new features for one of our products. I will also have meetings with my team to discuss progress and identify any issues that anyone is having, this is so that they can be solved collaboratively.
I have learnt many new skills during my time as an apprentice. I am constantly learning and improving my skills, as well as developing those that I already have. I have also attended multiple training courses, hosted both internally and externally. These courses have helped me improve both my personal and professional skills.
I really enjoy the apprenticeship programme. The work I complete is challenging and fulfilling, as well as very interesting and enjoyable. Every team I have worked with thus far has been excellent, everyone is very friendly and more than willing to assist. The programme has surpassed my expectations and I'm very grateful to have this opportunity.
I feel that my programme is very well structured. The induction was very beneficial to learn about the business and start producing valuable work. The internal training is structured throughout the year to ensure constant progress. The studying has been extremely structured, having a set day to study every week, which has been very beneficial. I've received a lot of support, including a weekly meeting with my mentor to help guide me through the apprenticeship and beyond.
I receive a lot of support from my manager, including one-to-one meetings to discuss progress and to provide support. I also receive a lot of support from my mentor with weekly meetings with a more personal focus. I am always able to seek guidance with any issues I am having, which is really comforting.
I receive a lot of support from the training provider, mostly from my lecturer. I have one-to-one meetings with them often to discuss what work tasks I'm currently working on, with added confidentiality where required, which allows me to document it effectively which is an essential part of the apprenticeship course. They also help me with any issues I'm having with my studies to ensure I'm continually making progress.
What I'm learning through the qualification is definitely helpful in my day-to-day work. I am able to implement what I have learned to improve my approach towards tasks and to output a higher quality of work consistently. I am also able to understand and get involved in more phases of the lifecycle of a feature.
There were many options for extra-curricular activities to partake in at the office, but unfortunately, those are not currently possible due to the pandemic. However, there are still many online social events available to attend, which personally have been really helpful to receive as much social contact as I desire.

They are an excellent company to work for that treat their staff very well. The working environment is very enjoyable and therefore productive. Also, the policies and morals of the company are truly amazing, which builds towards a very positive and supportive environment where everyone is treated respectfully and fairly.
Make sure to come prepared to the interview, by researching the company, and being prepared to answer technical questions that will demonstrate your knowledge. Also, really try to make the most of the opportunities you are given, as they will help you to both develop as an individual, and grow your career.
