my overall role within the company is to carry out maintenance activites. this often includes jobs such as cleaning and refurbishing filters and regulators, stripping and fixing motors, attending break downs with my mentor and helping maintain the factories production.
i have learned many new skills since i started my apprenticheship. for example i am far more confident using tools, i know how motors work and there different conections, how the different areas of the plant works and thier functions as well this ive got far more confident in working by myself and using my own initiative.
i thoroughly enjoy my programme as i find it presents me with new challenges as we change placement every 12 weeks. so we are able to continuosly learn new things.
my apprenticeship overall is organised and structured fairly well. as we are in constant communication with our managers and have regullar meetings regaerding our process.
i recieve enough support as i require as my btec tutors are aways accessable whenever i need help and likewise with my placement managers.
when working towards my qualifications th bmet staff are very helpful and always accessable if i need anything.
my qualification does help me perform my role to a certain extent however at times the two are not related and very different. as often real life can be very different to paper ork and theory.
there are some extra cirrcular activities to get involved in such as the mountain climbing challenge.
Yes
as it is a very good company to work for that really look after their employees. as well as this the facilities and environment for the apprenticeship are very good and greatly aid your learning
the one piece of advice i would give others is to try get involved in any oppourtunity that comes your way and to always aply yourself 100%
